La buona figliuola (The Good-Natured Girl), or La Cecchina (Cecchina), is an opera buffa in three acts by Niccolò Piccinni. It is the story of the marquis of Conchiglia who has fallen in love with a maid called Cecchina. It is a convoluted story - two men are infatuated with Cecchina, two jealous maids try to cause as much trouble for her as they can, another couple wishes to marry one another, and then there is the German soldier Tagliaferro, who is trying to reveal that Cecchina is in fact the daughter of a German baron, which will enable Cecchina to marry the Marchese.
Tickets are available online or through the Royal Conservatory of Music box-office.
