Toronto Masque Theatre's double bill of Henry Purcell's 17th-century masterpiece Dido and Aeneas performed alongside its companion piece Aeneas and Dido by Canadian composer James Rolfe and author André Alexis, commissioned by Toronto Masque Theatre in 2006.

Founded by Artistic Director Larry Beckwith in 2003, Toronto Masque Theatre (TMT) is one of the few companies in the world devoted to the masque form.
