Bizet's Carmen is radically re-visioned by Loose TEA Music Theatre who is offering a change from the familiar perspective of this opera. Carmen will be presented as not just a love story. It is also a class story, a gendered story, one that is driven by inequality and abuses of power; by conflict, struggle, and hope.

This Carmen comes with a new 21st century musical integration of various sound worlds. With DJ SlowPitch, a synthesizer, and rapping, this is a unique perspective on an opera classic.
