THE BIRTH OF CHRIST is a work composed by Andrew T. Miller in celebration of Christmas. It retells the biblical story of the birth of Christ. After a prologue with voices and orchestra there is the Annunciation of John followed by the Annunciation of Christ, the Visitation, a lovely song for the Virgin Mary, the exhilaration of 'Rejoice!' followed by the Journey to Bethlehem, the Birth, the Shepherd's Song and a final reprise of the opening.
This will be a rare opportunity to hear such an incredible piece. And with the excellent Masterworks of Oakville Choral Group providing the foundation, you'll be swept by the beauty of the work.

"I can't get over how beautiful Andrew T. Miller's The Birth of Christ is. There are several tracks of the live performance I've set to repeat. If the work were to be performed anywhere within half a day's distance from my home, I'd definitely make arrangements to see it. Andrew T. Miller's The Birth of Christ is that good."
